Naseem Shah Could Miss Out on Pakistan’s First Test Against Australia

The Pakistan cricket team will wear black armbands on day two of their match against Australia A to pay respect to Naseem Shah’s mother, who tragically passed away on Monday night.

The 16-year-old from Dir was included in the Pakistan team after impressing the selectors in the Quaid-e-Azam trophy.

There has been no final word regarding Naseem Shah’s return to Pakistan but it remains likely that he will fly back by Tuesday evening.

It remains to be seen for how long the PCB allows Naseem to remain in Pakistan before flying back out to Australia for the first Test match.

According to sources close to the matter, there is a possibility Shah will miss the first match, however.

Pakistan was 336 for 3 at stumps of day one with Asad Shafiq and Babar Azam not-out on 119 and 157 respectively.

The first Test match of the two-Test series will be played on 21st November in Brisbane.
