Xiaomi Mi 10 Will Have a 40% Larger Battery [Leak]

Xiaomi’s next flagship smartphones are set to be the Mi 10 and Mi 10 Pro. The phones were announced during Qualcomm’s big announcement for the Snapdragon 865 SoC where a release for 2020 was confirmed along with the fact that it will feature Qualcomm’s upcoming flagship chipset.

More details on the device have now surfaced thanks to a new leak spotted on Weibo. The leak comes from a prominent tipster named Digital chat station, who has revealed that the Mi 10 will have a much larger battery as compared to its predecessor.

He believes that the Mi 10 will have a battery cell with 4500-4800 mAh capacity, which is a significant step forward from the Mi 9’s 3300 mAh battery. Without going into detail, he also added that the phone will have major improvements in terms of display, fast charging, camera lens, and memory specifications.

The Mi 10 has previously appeared on China’s 3C certification program under the model name M2001J2E/C, which revealed that there will be 5G support and 30W fast charging. As for the Mi 10 Pro, the battery size is not known yet, but its 3C certification has unveiled up to 66W fast charging.

It is unclear whether Xiaomi will also release a Special Edition (SE) similar to the Mi 9. However, since the Black Shark 2 was made official alongside the Mi 9, the Black Shark 3 is also expected to arrive with the Mi 10 series.

A precise release date is yet to be revealed. Stay tuned for updates.
