Pakistan Qualifies for Finals of the U-19 World Cup

Pakistan U-19 cricket team has secured a position in the quarter-finals after beating Zimbabwe by 38-runs on Wednesday.

Pakistan posted a huge total of 294 runs while batting first. In return, Zimbabwe crumbled for 255 in the 47th over.

Fahad Munir, Qasim Akram, and Mohammad Haris all managed to reach their half-century. Captain Rohail Nazair failed to score a run and returned to the pavilion without disturbing the scoreline after facing 5 deliveries.

Zimbabwe put up a solid display as openers Wesley Madhevere and Emannuel Bawa scored 65 runs together until Qasim Akram got the breakthrough.

Pakistan’s entire bowling unit delivered a comprehensive display as Tahir Hussain, Abbas Afridi got 3 wickets each. Aamir Ali and Qasim Akram shared 2 wickets each.

Most expensive bowlers in terms of economy-rate, Mohammad Wasim and Fahir Munir, remained wicketless.

The Men in Green will face-off against Bangladesh U-19 team in the last match of the group stages. This match will determine which team will finish at the top of the group.
