Apple is Launching An Affordable iPhone With the Next iPad Pro Next Month

Apple’s upcoming budget-friendly iPhone 9/SE 2 has been making news for a while. The announcement first came from Bloomberg, where the report claimed that the Cupertino would start the smartphone production in February and launch the device in March. Although we were expecting a launch event mid-March, the Cupertino pushed it to 31st March probably due to the launch of the next-gen iPad Pro series in parallel.

The iPhone 9 will not come with high-end features like OLED, Face ID, wireless charging, and 5G networking since the company wants to keep its manufacturing cost low. However, Apple has confirmed that it will come with an A13 Bionic processor like the iPhone 11 series. Other than this, the smartphone specifications will be based on iPhone 8.

It will come with a 4.7-inch LCD and feature touch ID. Design-wise, it is expected to look identical to the iPhone 8 but will definitely have much better internals. According to analyst Ming-Chi Kuon, the smartphone will come in Space Gray, Silver, and Product Red colors and will cost $399.

In other news, Apple’s new pro tablet series might boast an iPhone-11 like triple camera setup which will include a 3D ToF module. Apple might also bring a refreshed 13-inch MacBook Pro to the event.

As far as the shipment of devices is concerned, there might be a delay due to production difficulties associated with the Coronavirus outbreak. The Cupertino may release the tablets in limited quantities or delay the launch altogether.
