Xiaomi’s incredibly well-received Redmi Note lineup is about to get a refresh in just a few days. The new Redmi Note 9 will follow previous lineups and will include a base Note 9 and a Note 9 Pro, but it is unclear whether there will also be a third variant, similar to the Redmi Note 8T.
Xiaomi India has teased the upcoming series on its official Twitter page revealing a few details about the device.

Manu Kumar’s tweet comes as a response to Ranveer Singh’s post asking about the Note 9 series. He responded with an image showing off a few Redmi devices we’re already familiar with including the Redmi 1S, Note 8 Pro, K20 Pro, and a mysterious device partly covered by a newspaper.
It doesn’t reveal much, but it does show the phone’s design at the bottom. There is a USB C port, a speaker grille, and a 3.5mm headphone jack lined at the bottom. The phone will have a glossy blue color variant in what appears to be a glass sandwich design.
That is about the extent of what the tweet reveals, but previously leaked renders have also revealed some other key aspects about the device.
The Note 9 is rumored to feature a square-shaped quad-camera setup at the back right above a dual-LED flash unit. The front camera is going to be housed in a punch-hole cutout at the top left corner of the display.
The company is yet to reveal any specifications, but new teasers with that info are expected to surface soon, so stay tuned. The Redmi Note 9 series is set to go official on March 12 and more will be revealed as the date draws near.
