Hashim Amla Picks the Two Toughest Bowlers He Faced, Both Are Pakistani

Former South African batsman, Hashim Amla has picked two Pakistani bowlers among the best he has ever faced in his record-breaking career.

Mohammad Asif is the best one.

Fast bowler Mohammad Asif and off-spinner Saeed Ajmal troubled Amla the most in his playing days. According to the legendary cricketer, Asif was the best bowler he faced due to his deadly accuracy coupled with the ability to swing the ball both ways.

His accuracy was amazing. With the new ball, he managed to take the ball away and in, and every ball felt like a question on you that could get you out, so I found him an amazing bowler.

Praising Ajmal, the 37-year-old said that he was a class apart. “Saeed Ajmal was an absolutely brilliant bowler as well”, he said in an interview.

Mohammad Asif’s career was cut short due to the spot-fixing scandal whereas Saeed Ajmal couldn’t play to his full potential due to a mid-career ban on his bowling action followed by PCB’s negligence.
