In a landmark development, the Ministry of Science and Technology has approved 61 electronics standards to promote the sale of quality electronic products in Pakistan. These standards have been tabled before the cabinet and will be implemented after the approval.
S&T Minister, Fawad Chaudhry, announced this in a tweet on Thursday.

He said that the decision will ensure that only quality electronics products are sold in Pakistan. The details relating to the standards are likely following the cabinet approval.

As promised, the Ministry of Science has approved 61 electronics standards, to be implemented after the cabinet approval, which means that colored switches, boards will not be imported and only the standard electronics products will be sold in Pakistan.
