Oppo Find X2 Lite Comes a Smaller Battery But More Cameras

Oppo’s latest flagship, the Find X2, was released last month with top tier specifications and a hefty price tag. Much to the delight of fans, it is now getting a cheaper variant with a few changes in its design and surprisingly, an additional lens in its primary camera setup.

Design and Display

The Oppo Find X2 Lite ditches the punch-hole cutout seen on the vanilla Find X2 and opts for a standard waterdrop notch instead. The 6.4-inch AMOLED display has FHD+ resolution, a slightly thicker bottom bezel, and an in-display fingerprint sensor.

Interestingly, the back has a quad-camera setup, unlike the high-end model that lacks the extra 2MP lens.

Internals and Storage

The internals are powered by the gaming-oriented Snapdragon 765G SoC that has a 2.4GHz octa-core processor, 8GB RAM, and 5G support. Unfortunately, there is no memory card slot for expandable storage but 128GB of UFS 2.1 should be sufficient for most.

The main camera at the rear is a 48MP wide-angle unit which is accompanied by an 8MP ultrawide sensor, a 2MP monochrome lens, and a 2MP depth sensor. The camera is equipped with features such as Ultra Night Mode with AI noise reduction and Ultra Steady Video.

The front camera housed inside the waterdrop notch is a 32MP lens that can capture 1080p videos at 30 FPS.

Battery and Pricing

The 4025 mAh battery is only slightly smaller than the vanilla Find X2, but the bigger downgrade is fast charging. The Find X2 Lite has 30W fast charging, which is not low by any means, but is significantly less when compared to the base Find X2’s 65 watts. The Find X2 Lite should be able to charge up from 0 to 50% in 20 minutes.

The handset will be available in Moonlight Black and Pearl White color options once it goes on sale for $545.
