TEVTA Launches an Online Technical Training for Teachers

Technical Education and Vocational Training Authority (TEVTA), in collaboration with the National Vocational and Technical Training Commission (NAVTTC), has launched an online training program for teachers named “Hunarmand Ustad.”

Under the program, 650 teachers from 284 TEVTA institutions will undergo training. These 650 teachers will then impart Competency-Based Training and Assessment (CBTA) training to students of the Hunarmand Nojawan project, which aims to train 100,000 students in 56 demand-driven courses.

Chairperson TEVTA, Ali Salman, has stated that the Hunarmand Ustad program is part of a bigger program called TVET Sector Support Program which promotes technical education and vocational training in Pakistan with the help of the European Union, German and Norwegian governments.

Chairperson TEVTA said that the Hunarmand Ustad program is another step in the right direction to realize the digital transformation strategy envisioned by the PTI government. Without adopting new techniques and building capacity of the teachers, implementation of the vision of Digital Pakistan is impossible.
