Higher Education Commission (HEC) has announced 30 June as the deadline for the online registration for the Law Graduate Assessment Test (Law GAT) amid the Coronavirus pandemic.
Only candidates with a bachelor’s degree in law or equivalent degree recognized by the HEC and Pakistan Bar Council (PBC) are eligible to apply for Law GAT.
The date for the Law GAT will be announced in the coming weeks.
Applicants will be able to download roll number slips through the website one week before the test date and will be required to furnish it along with the original CNIC before entering the test center.
Successful candidates will be able to apply to the PBC for registration as a lawyer.
In 2018, the Supreme Court had ordered to resume the Law GAT through the HEC to ensure comprehensive screening and evaluation of individuals intending to join the legal profession for the practice of law.
