Siddiqui said that the Saudi government informed Pakistan on the development through its Minister for Hajj and Umrah Dr. Mohammad Saleh bin Taher Benten.

They will allow only 1000 pilgrims this year residing in the Kingdom to perform Hajj, as the ritual would be scaled back due to coronavirus, he said.

The number of pilgrims will be around 1,000, maybe less, maybe a little more. They won’t be in tens or hundreds of thousands this year.
