Xiaomi’s global launch event kicked off yesterday with plenty of noteworthy releases for fans. The company’s first streaming stick, the Mi TV Stick, is now official alongside the Mi Curved Gaming Monitor, Mi True Wireless Earphones, and much more.
Mi TV Stick
Being a streaming stick, it has significant portability advantages over the Mi TV Box series. It can be plugged directly into a TV’s HDMI port to stream your favorite shows and movies.
It runs on Android TV 9.0 with a built-in Chromecast so you can cast your phone content on the TV as well. The remote control that comes with the stick has dedicated buttons for Google Assistant, Netflix, Prime Video, and standard TV remote functions.
The Mi TV Stick is only available in a 1080p variant for €40. There is no mention of a 4K version yet.
Mi Curved Gaming Monitor 34″
Next up, is a high-end gaming monitor by Xiaomi. It has a 34-inch curved display that features a 144Hz refresh rate and 2K resolution (3440 x 1440). It has a 21:9 ultra-wide aspect ratio, a curve rating of 1500R, and covers 121% of the sRGB color gamut.
Connectivity options include two HDMI ports and 2 display ports. The Mi Curved Gaming Monitor 34″ will go for sale later this month for €400.
Mi True Wireless Earphones
Xiaomi has also announced a “Basic” variant for the Mi True Wireless Earphones 2 we saw earlier. The difference here is that it comes with a slightly different case, but the design of the earbuds themselves remains unchanged with thick stems and only a white color option.
The touch controls allow you to control playback, mute the microphone, and pick up calls. There is smart in-ear detection as well, so the earphones will automatically pause playback when they are removed.
It has dual-mic environmental noise cancellation for crystal clear calls and up to 20 hours of battery life with the case. It connects to devices via Bluetooth 5.0 and supports auto-pair and auto-connect.
The Mi True Wireless Earphones 2 Basic will go on sale on July 20 for €40.
