Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) has abolished gratuity and leave encashment for its permanent employees while increasing its private fund by 2.5% at the same time.
According to details, PCB has undertaken the latest cost-cutting measures by altering its service rules after receiving assent from the Board of Governors (BoG).

Barring Chairman PCB Ehsan Mani, Chief Executive, Chief Operating Officer, Chief Financial Officer, and all directors of PCB will be required to travel in economy class on domestic flights. However, all of them will have the facility to travel abroad in business class.
Under the new rules, PCB employees will be encouraged to avail annual leaves before the end of the year as they will not receive leave encashment for their unutilized annual leaves from now onwards.
Moreover, all PCB employees will be accorded a mandatory paternity leave for 2 weeks on the birth of their child.
A PCB spokesperson revealed that the latest cost-cutting measures have been taken after the annual budget of the PCB registered a decline of Rs. 1 billion.

These measures will not affect cricketing activities in any way, the spokesperson added.
In this regard, the daily allowance of PCB Chairman, senior General Managers and officers, and directors in Pakistan has been increased to Rs. 4,500. Meanwhile, daily allowance in England has been reduced to $175 and $150 for all other countries.
Similarly, the daily accommodation allowance in Pakistan has been increased to Rs. 11,000, for England $400, and $250 for all other countries.
