HP Launches War X Laptops With AMD Ryzen 4000 Chips

Yesterday, HP unveiled another Star Wars-inspired laptop dubbed the HP War X. The Star Wars-inspired laptop range by HP was first introduced in 2015. Taking into account the immense popularity Ryzen processors are gaining for laptops and computers, the company decided to integrate AMD’s latest chipsets into the laptop.

Design and Display

The laptop comes with a metallic body like the HP ProBook and ZBook Series. It has a considerably thin form factor and weighs only 1.69 kg.

The HP War X is available in 13, 14, and 15-inch screen sizes with 1080p to 4K resolution. Finer details regarding the display are still under wraps.

Internals and Storage

This time around, the company has opted for the latest Ryzen 7 Pro -4750U chipset. The laptop also comes in a slightly cheaper Ryzen 5 Pro 4650U model. The Ryzen 7 Pro version provides higher speeds and more memory.

Storage-wise, the device offers 16GB RAM and 512GB of internal storage. It also features the world’s first PCIe 4.0 connectivity, which doubles the bandwidth available to graphics cards, hard drives, SSDs, Wi-Fi, and Ethernet cards.

Pricing and Availability

HP War X comes at a starting price of $722 for the 13-inch model. The 14-inch and 15-inch models cost $736 and $765, respectively. They will be up for sale by 31st August.
