Minister for Communications and Postal Services, Murad Saeed, has said that the ministry has adopted the policy of austerity, accountability, and self-sufficiency.
While addressing a press conference in Islamabad, Murad Saeed said that by following Prime Minister Imran Khan’s vision of austerity, the ministry has saved Rs. 750 million in two years. Saeed noted that another Rs. 12.56 billion were recovered through special audit of various projects.
Murad Saeed was flanked by various federal ministers, including Minister for Information and Broadcasting, Senator Shibli Faraz, Minister for Science and Technology, Chaudhry Fawad Hussain, and Minister for Human Rights, Dr. Shiren Mazari.

Minister for Energy, Omer Ayub, Minister for Maritime Affairs Ali Zaidi, Minister for Water Resources Faisal Vawda, and Minister for Inter-Provincial Coordination Dr. Fahmida Mirza was also present during the joint press briefing on the government’s two-year performance.
We have introduced e-tendering, e-bidding, and e-billing systems in the National Highway Authority (NHA) to improve efficiency and ensure transparency.
Saeed noted that the Hakla-Dera Ismail Khan project will be completed through e-tendering, e-bidding, and e-billing.

The Communication Minister stated that construction work on Sukkur-Hyderabad Motorway will commence in March next year. The projects to be launched this year include the Karachi-Quetta-Chaman Highway and the second phase of Swat Motorway.
