DPOs have been given a deadline of 15 September for submitting the assessment reports of check posts and new demarcations of existing police stations.
DIG Hazara will announce the establishment of new police stations after 15 September.
While speaking to media outlets, DIG Hazara said that most police stations in the Hazara division are located in distant areas. The public has to face numerous problems while making their way to the police stations to lodge complaints of crimes. Moreover, the police force also loses precious time in reaching crime scenes from these police stations in case of an emergency.

New boundary lines and upgradation of police check posts to police stations will allow the public to reach police stations as soon as possible during emergencies.
Upgrading police check posts in areas where the population is burgeoning will not only help in reducing the crime rate but will also ease the burden on existing police stations, concluded DIG Hazara.
