For the past three years, the Chinese smartphone OEM, OnePlus has followed the trend of refreshing its flagship Smartphones at the end of the year. This time is no different. The company is already working on OnePlus 8T and OnePlus 8T Pro.
The smartphones are set to launch by the end of this month. However, just ahead of its launch, their spec sheet was leaked.
According to the leak, the smartphone is pretty much similar to the OnePlus 8 display-wise except for the refresh rate. It will come with a similar 6.55-inch AMOLED touchscreen with a 90 Hz refresh rate instead of 120 Hz. Moreover, another leak suggests that OnePlus might shift to a flatscreen with the ‘T’ sub-series.
On the back, the upcoming smartphone will come with a quad-sensor camera setup headlined by a 48 MP primary sensor topped with 16 MP ultrawide, a 5 MP macro cam, and a 2 MP depth sensor similar to the OnePlus 8’s cameras except for the macro lens.
Even though the imaging capability is identical to OnePlus 8, the smartphone will come with a newer imaging sensor than its predecessor, thus improving picture quality. Other details regarding the camera specs are bleak as of now.
Internally, the OnePlus 8T will be powered by the newer Snapdragon 865+ chipset, aided by 8GB of RAM and 128GB of storage. It will boot on Android 11 out of the box, with OxygenOS 11.
