PCB Approaches Younis Khan for Permanent Batting Coach Role

According to sources, Pakistan Cricket Board is in advanced talks with former batsman Younis Khan to become the permanent Pakistan team batting coach.

Younis Khan served as a batting consultant for team Pakistan in the team’s recent tour to England, but ever since the conclusion of the tour, it is rumored that PCB will permanently appoint Younis as the batting coach.

The discussions between the two parties have been ongoing for a while now, but sources have confirmed that the talks are in an advanced stage and Younis could be appointed as the permanent batting coach from the New Zealand tour onwards.

The decision has not been finalized yet, but things will become clear within a few weeks.

Several Pakistani players have been vocal about the positive impact of Younis Khan on the dressing room and how his expertise helped them during the tour.

Younis is Pakistan’s most successful batsman in Test history, scoring 10,099 runs at an average of 52.0. Younis also captained Pakistan to a World T20 victory in 2009 and is regarded as one of the finest captains in Pakistan’s cricketing history.
