Samsung Galaxy Z Flip 2 Has Been Delayed to Mid 2021: Leak

Samsung has several major releases lined up for 2021 other than the usual S series Smartphones and the Note series. One of these releases is going to be the new clamshell folding Galaxy Z Flip and according to recent leaks, it is arriving next year during summer.

The news comes from renowned tipster and analyst Ross Young who revealed that the Samsung Galaxy Z Flip 2 is arriving in summer 2021. He previously reported that we may see the new foldable in spring, but now he is restating that it’s coming in summer instead. The tweet does not mention why the launch was delayed.

In a different tweet that he made a few days later, he mentions that the outer display of the Galaxy Z Flip 2 will be bigger than the original, but smaller than the Motorola Razr. The current Galaxy Z Flip has a 1.1-inch screen on the outside, which is more of a small strip for notifications and time/date.

On the other hand, the Motorola Razr has a 2.7-inch outer screen, meaning that we could see an outer display around 2 inches big on the new Z Flip.

Finer details regarding specifications are still scarce and are not expected to appear until next year. Regardless, it is safe to assume that it will be featuring Qualcomm’s top of the line SoC, the Snapdragon 875.
