Taskforce on IT and Telecom Stresses Upon Timely Completion of Digital Pakistan Projects

The Prime Minister’s Taskforce on IT & Telecom has stressed on timely completion of projects to achieve the desired results targeted in the Digital Pakistan vision.

Federal Minister for IT and Telecommunication, Syed Amin Ul Haque, remarked that Pakistan’s IT industry is rapidly growing.

The Federal Minister was chairing the 10th meeting of the Prime Minister’s Taskforce on IT & Telecom at the committee room of the Ministry of IT.

Secretary IT, Shoaib Ahmad Siddiqui, Chairman Pakistan Software Houses Association ([email protected]), Barkan Saeed, Managing Director Pakistan Software Export Board (PSEB), Osman Nasir, and senior officers of the ministry were also present in the meeting.

Co-Chairman of the Taskforce, Dr. Atta-ur- Rehman, joined the meeting through video link.

Syed Amin Ul Haque said that joint efforts were needed for the betterment of the IT & Telecom industry. He said that the Ministry of IT was taking all the stakeholders on board.

The Federal Minister also emphasized upon timely completion of all the projects and in transparent manners. He also gave direction to officers of the ministry to complete their assignments with the timeline.

The meeting discussed in detail matters regarding the Rolling Spectrum plan, Right of Way, and Fibrization.

MD PSEB, Osman Nasir, apprised the meeting regarding the plan of establishing software technology parks in different cities.
