Samsung Mobile President Confirms S-Pen Support for Galaxy S21

The news that Galaxy S21 will support S Pen has only been a rumor up until now, but it has just been confirmed by Samsung itself. The confirmation comes from TM Roh, the President of Samsung’s Mobile division, who made a blog post celebrating what the company has accomplished during the year and its plans for 2021.

He does not mention it straightforwardly in the blog post, so you have to read between the lines to get the message. Here is what the passage reads at the end of the post.

Thank you to everyone who supported us in 2020. I look forward to sharing more in January! We’ve also been paying attention to people’s favorite aspects of the Galaxy Note experience and are excited to add some of its most well-loved features to other devices in our lineup.

This shows that the S Pen support is coming to the Galaxy S21 lineup, likely to the top-end model, the Galaxy S21 Ultra. It will likely also feature on foldable devices and according to the executive, more announcements are coming in January.

The Note lineup will likely be discontinued and Samsung will expand its portfolio of foldable. The executive says that the new and innovative form factor will become more accessible next year.

Other than that, he also says that we should “Be on the lookout for the super-intelligent, pro-grade camera and video capabilities in 2021.”
