Smartphone maker Vivo has revealed its partnership with the popular German optics manufacturer Carl Zeiss AG (Branded as ZEISS) for the upcoming smartphones.
Vivo has also been bringing innovation in its smartphone cameras, notably the Gimbal Camera on the X50 Pro. The phone features a camera setup that performs well in terms of low light photography and stabilization for videos. Now coupled with ZEISS technology, Vivo smartphone cameras will see a significant improvement.
ZEISS was previously associated with Nokia for creating phones with exceptional photography performance. The phones featuring the ZEISS lens included Nokia 808 PureView and Lumia 1020. The Nokia PureView 808, which housed a 41-megapixel image sensor, was particularly noteworthy for allowing people to click images that had exceptional detail.
The rumors suggest that the ZEISS partnership will be exclusive to Vivo now as the German manufacturer won’t license their products to other makers like Nokia or Sony anymore. However, there is no official word on this for now.
The official announcement for the Vivo partnership is going to happen in a day and we could be seeing the first Vivo-ZEISS product by the end of this month in China and hopefully in Pakistan by the first quarter of 2020.
