The new OnePlus 9 series is set to go official in March 2021, and leaks have started to pick up the pace. Last week, a Chinese leakster Teme revealed that OnePlus is partnering with Leica on the OnePlus 9 series cameras.
If OnePlus is indeed working with Leica, we should expect a significant improvement in the next-gen flagships’ camera performance. This news sounds authentic since the company’s CEO Pete Lau also announced that they were working on improving their phones’ camera performance “with a bigger focus on software and hardware.”
Just a week after the leak, a new leak detailing the OnePlus 9’s camera configuration surfaced on the internet. According to the leak, the Smartphone will feature a triple sensor camera setup with a 50 MP Ultra Vision wide-angle camera as the main sensor, a 20 MP Cine camera, and an OIS assisted 12 MP sensor.
As far as the specifications of the smartphone are concerned, previous leaks have revealed that the vanilla OnePlus 9 will come with a 6.55-inch FHD+ flat screen. It will be powered by the newly announced Snapdragon 888 SoC topped with 8 GB of RAM and 128 GB of storage. In terms of software, it will run OxygenOS based on Android 11.
