Karachi Port Breaks World Record For Bulk Cargo Handling

Karachi Port has broken the world record for the most bulk cargo handled in a single day, ARY News has reported.

According to details, the port set this new record by offloading 11,802 tons of fertilizer in one day.

Karachi port also held the previous two world records for handling the most bulk cargo in one day.

In 2003, the port achieved the feat for the first time by dispatching record fertilizer in one day. Three years later, in 2006, it broke its own record by offloading record fertilizer in a single day.

Earlier this year in April, Karachi Port also docked its biggest ship Southampton Express, carrying 12,600 containers, at the South Asia Pakistan Terminals.
