Punjab Govt Launches One of the Biggest Housing Schemes in Pakistan

The government of Punjab is launching an unparalleled housing project to construct 35,000 apartments on eight thousand kanals of land.

The Chief Minister (CM) of Punjab, Sardar Usman Buzdar, has directed the concerned authorities to build 4,000 apartments in the Lahore Development City (LDA) worth Rs. 40 billion in the initial phase of the project.

In accordance with the vision of Prime Minister Imran Khan, the provincial government is implementing an equal development agenda for all cities.

The CM asked the transport department for an immediate report regarding the launch of the electric buses in Lahore. Once implemented, the project will help reduce environmental pollution, including smog, in the city.

Similarly, projects worth billions of rupees are being launched in Lahore to build state-of-the-art health facilities and to boost its development.

CM Buzdar expressed his satisfaction with the progress on the development of the city and added that the government intends to bring the neglected areas of the province on par with other cities.
