KIA Motors has just introduced a new logo on the new year’s occasion. This new logo is meant to signify the company’s goal to “establish a leadership position in the future mobility industry.”
The logo design of the Korean automaker is intended to resemble that of a handwritten signature, depicting the company’s transition into a premiere group of automakers in the global automotive industry.

The unveiling of the logo was quite an event, featuring a breath-taking pyrotechnic spectacle in Incheon, South Korea, whereby 303 drones launched hundreds of synchronized fireworks.
One of the media reports also suggests that the reveal of the new brand image is also a means of ushering in a radical new Electric Vehicle (EV), which is expected to launch on January 15th.
Along with this revelation, there has reportedly been a seismic shift in KIA’s strategy, following their last year’s announcement of a “Plan S 5-year strategy” whereby over $25 billion are to be invested to pursue more technological prowess and sophistication.
Speaking on the occasion, KIA President and CEO made the following statement,
KIA’s new logo represents the company’s commitment to becoming an icon for change and innovation. The automotive industry is experiencing a period of rapid transformation, and KIA is proactively shaping and adapting to these changes. Our new logo represents our desire to inspire customers as their mobility needs evolve, and for our employees to rise to the challenges we face in a fast-changing industry.
