Govt to Support Homegrown Startups: Governor Punjab

Governor Punjab, Chaudhry Sarwar appreciated the commitment shown by local entrepreneurs to digitize the economy and create countless job opportunities.

He met with Mohsin Qureshi, COO, Cheetay, and Osman Chaudry, CFO, Cheetay. Also present were Muhammad Uns, CEO, Swyft Logistics, and Ramma Cheema, Government Relations, Cheetay.

During the meeting, concrete steps were discussed to promote local businesses as a way to establish an entrepreneurial ecosystem in the country. The Governor lauded the measures taken by Cheetay and Swyft to make safe, contactless deliveries possible during COVID-19.

Cheetay is Pakistan’s largest and fastest-growing NOW-Commerce platform that operates in more than ten cities and across multiple verticals. Swyft is the first technology-driven logistics platform in the country that aims to enable last-mile eCommerce fulfillment.

Both startups are leading Pakistan’s tech revolution by developing and harnessing local talent while improving the lives of countless Pakistanis by creating employment in the country.

They are proudly committed to driving significant social impact especially in areas like women empowerment, environment protection, the digitization of the economy, and local SME business enhancement.
