AIOU to Offer Free Matric Education for Students

Allama Iqbal Open University (AIOU) announced it would provide free Matric education for students hailing from Gilgit Baltistan, Balochistan, and merged districts in the KP province.

Students who desire to enroll in the free education program can apply for admission during spring semester 2021. Similar to last year, admissions for the matric classes are scheduled to commence from 15th January 2021, and concerned students will be entertained till 20th February.

Discussing AIOU’s undertakings for the academic year 2021, Vice-Chancellor, Prof. Dr. Zia Ul-Qayyaum, expressed hope that students applying for the free matric program would greatly benefit from it.

Meanwhile, the university continues to provide free education to neglected areas of society, including disabled persons, prisoners, drop-outs, and in some cases, transgenders.

The AIOU hopes to cater to under-developed educational facilities in the country and enroll the maximum number of students in the academic net.
