Sindh government is considering postponing the examinations of all classes during the ongoing academic year due to the extended closure of educational institutions as a result of the Coronavirus pandemic.
The suggestion was tabled during a recent meeting of the steering committee on education to deliberate on the current education situation.
In this regard, a special committee has been instituted to compile and review the schedules for the examinations of all classes during the current academic year.
The committee will present its recommendations in the next meeting of the steering committee on 30 January.
While speaking with media outlets, Sindh Education Minister, Saeed Ghani, said that the steering committee has decided to teach at least 60% of the curriculum to the students.
The Minister added that the meeting has also issued directions to healthcare authorities to resume random testing in educational institutions from 1 February.
