Legendary Cricketers Zaheer Abbas and Sarfaraz Nawaz Get Vaccinated Against Coronavirus

Legendary Pakistani players Sarfaraz Nawaz and Zaheer Abbas have been vaccinated against the Coronavirus.

According to details, both stars were administered the vaccine at the historic Lord’s cricket ground over the weekend.

After getting vaccinated, Sarfaraz Nawaz said that the vaccine is safe and people should get inoculated against the disease to break its chain of transmission.

Meanwhile, in Pakistan, DRAP recently granted Emergency Use Approval (EUA) to two COVID-19 vaccines to be used in emergencies across the country.

One of the DRAP-approved vaccines has been developed by AstraZeneca, a British pharmaceutical company, in collaboration with Oxford University while the other by state-owned firm China National Pharmaceutical Group known as Sinopharm.

Last week, Prime Minister Imran Khan also directed relevant authorities to expedite efforts and ensure the procurement and distribution of both DRAP-approved vaccines before the end of the first quarter.

Besides, the Health Ministry has made all necessary arrangements ranging from infrastructure to framework and from training to capacity in order to initiate a mass vaccination campaign this quarter as well.
