Launched in early 2020, the Xiaomi Mi 10 may make a comeback soon with an all-new chipset, expanding the ever-growing Mi 10 lineup which already consists of more than 8 phones. Despite the Xiaomi Mi 11 launching recently, the Mi 10 has been tipped to return with the Snapdragon 870 SoC.
Other than the Snapdragon 870 5G SoC, there is not much known about the specs of the upcoming Mi 10, though they will likely be identical to the base Mi 10 we are familiar with. The leak also claims that the phone could be priced around $451, though it is unclear if it will be released outside of China.
The Snapdragon 870 5G is an upgraded version of the Snapdragon 865+ with CPU clock speeds of up to 3.2GHz, the Adreno 650 GPU, the Snapdragon X55 5G modem, and more. It also has support for UFS 3.1. LPDDR5 RAM, and Qualcomm Quick Charge 4+.
The Snapdragon 870 5G also features the highest clock speed among Smartphone chips.
As for the Mi 10, it features a 6.67-inch curved AMOLED display with a 1080p resolution and a 90Hz refresh rate. There is a 108MP quad-camera setup, and a 4780 mAh battery with 30W fast charging. The phone has support for UFS 3.0 and LPDDR5 memory as well.
There is no word on when we will get to see the new SD870 powered Mi 10 5G.
