Asus’s latest gaming phone is not far from launch anymore and has just passed China’s TENNA certification authority, revealing some key details as well as some images for the device.
The device is expected to be called the ROG Phone 5 and according to TENAA’s listing, it will be powered by the Snapdragon 888 with a 6,000 mAh battery. This battery will be split into two 3,000 mAh cells, which indicates support for super-fast charging. It will likely feature 65W fast charging, which was previously revealed in the phone’s 3C certification.
The rear panel will feature a triple camera setup including a 64MP main sensor and a secondary display in the middle. We have seen this display in a previous leak which showed that it will be used to display notifications, time/date, battery, and more.
Asus ROG Phone 5 will reportedly have a 6.78-inch AMOLED display with a 144Hz refresh rate and an in-display fingerprint sensor. It is unclear whether it is going to be feature Full HD+ resolution or QHD+.
A teaser poster from earlier revealed that the gaming phone will be officially revealed by the end of March or around mid-April. However, we would recommend taking this information with a grain of salt. We’ll keep you posted as we hear more about the phone.
