During the seminar, Dr. Iftikhar said that HEC has worked efficiently over the years. The rules and regulations were introduced after the consent of the varsities under Section 10(c) of HEC Ordinance 2002 which binds the commission to introduce new policies after consultation with the Vice-Chancellors of the universities.
However, the decision to abolish MA (private) admission in the universities at a time when institutions are grappling with economic challenges will bear a negative impact on the universities.
