While addressing the inaugural ceremony of the National Conference on Citizen-Centric Policing in Lahore, the CM noted the government is trying its best to provide justice to people at the grassroots level.

CM Punjab said that the government has taken numerous steps to improve the performance of the police department.
The incumbent government has established police facilitation centers in all cities of the province to facilitate the citizens by streamlining different services of the police department.
Dedicated counters in all public hospitals in the province have been allocated to police officials for dealing with emergency cases without squandering any time.
Investigation schools have been established, Counter Terrorism Department (CTD) has been equipped, 600 new vehicles have been provided, hundreds of new police stations have been set up, and land has been allocated for dozens of new police stations since 2018, noted the CM.

The Punjab government has also approved the recruitment against 10,000 vacancies in the police department.
Besides, the provincial government has formulated a transparent transfer and posting mechanism for Punjab police that has ended the political interference in the transfer and posting process, concluded the CM.
