Several gaming phones are lining up to launch soon. Xiaomi and Asus have been teasing the Black Shark 4 and the ROG Phone 5 respectively over the past few weeks, but it’s time to make way for Nubia now.
There is no word on a launch date yet, but ZTE has teased its upcoming Nubia Red Magic 6 gaming phone in an official teaser video. This video not only reveals the design of the device but also shows off a completely new and improved cooling system.
Check out the video below.
President of Mobile Devices at ZTE (Nubia’s Parent company) Ni Fei has said that the phone will feature a “strengthened” fan. It will also have a nine-axis spatial sensor that will track the phone’s movements in multiple directions to improve gaming.
Last month, Nubia announced a strategic partnership with Tencent Games to provide a better gaming experience for Red Magic phone users. This new and improved cooling system is likely a result of the partnership.
Other than cooling the chipset for better performance under sustained load, this cooling system will likely also aid in keeping the device cool during 120W fast charging. The super-fast charging support was certified not too long ago, though we expect that it will remain exclusive to the Red Magic 6 Pro. The base Red Magic 6 is rumored to get 66W fast charging instead.
Stay tuned for more.
