Man Arrested in Lahore for Impersonating as a Policeman to Steal Cars

The Lahore Police has arrested a man for impersonating as a law enforcement officer and stealing cars earlier this week

The incident occurred when a resident had approached the Saddar Police Station to lodge a First Information Report (FIR) against the impersonator.

According to the complainant, the suspect had flagged a car down and stolen it at gunpoint.

Reacting promptly to the complaint, the Saddar SP, Hafeezur Rehman, delegated police teams to raid various parts of the city in search of the culprit who had been wanted for his involvement in other cases as well.

SP Rehman stated that the suspect had been arrested in a successful raid, and that the stolen vehicle had been recovered.

He revealed that the although the suspect had removed the car’s tracker, the police had still been able to trace him.
