Samsung is Making Galaxy S21 FE Owing to S20 FE’s Success

Last year, Samsung launched the Galaxy S20 FE will a lot of pomp and show. Soon after the launch, reports started pouring in that the South Korean Smartphone maker was planning on ditching the ‘Lite’ editions to bring more ‘FE’ models in the future.

Now, based on recent reports, it looks like that is exactly what the company is planning to do. Sammobile recently revealed that Samsung is already working on a Galaxy S21 FE smartphone under the model number SM-G990B.

Model numbers for Samsung devices vary according to the region they are being developed for. For instance, the Galaxy S20 FE has SM-G78xx where the x varies with region. The model number SM-G780F was for the Indian variant while the G7810 was for the Chinese variant. Hence, the G990B model number most likely refers to the Galaxy S21 FE model.

Sammobile further details that the handset will launch in four color options: Gray or Silver, Pink, Violet, and White. Other expected specs include 5G connectivity, 128/256GB storage, and Android 11.

Depending on when the smartphone launches, it will either come with One UI 3.1 or the One UI 3.5 that will roll out in the H2 2021 during the Galaxy Z Fold3 launch.
