PEIRA Directs Private Schools & Colleges to Begin New Session in August

The regulatory body of the Ministry of Federal Education and Professional Training, Private Educational Institutions Regulatory Authority (PEIRA) has directed the private sector educational institutions of the Islamabad Capital Territory (ICT) to start the new academic session 2021-22 from the first week of August 2021.

According to the notification by the PEIRA, the private sector schools and colleges in the federal capital have been instructed to conduct their annual examinations for classes 1 to 8 from mid-May to mid-June 2021 in consonance with the decision made by the federal government.

The private schools have been directed to announce the results in the last week of June 2021, and the summer break will be only one month long from July 2 to July 31.

The notification mentioned that this schedule is subject to a review of health reports and the decision can be changed by the federal government in consideration of the pandemic situation.
