In what seems like an attempt to retain its users after the recent change in its privacy settings, WhatsApp is working on rolling out several new features. After launching a few new privacy-focused features, according to a recent report by WABetainfo, the platform is going to allow users to log out of the application.
The report details that WhatsApp’s new beta version has a logout option available now. The new option will be available for both the iOS and Android versions of the app.

Currently, to get respite from the app, users only have two options. They can either uninstall the app or mute its notifications. Hence, many users have been asking for a log-out feature that will allow them to sign out of the app like any other social media platform. It was especially a concern for those who are always receiving and sending messages on the platform and business accounts.
WABetainfo detailed,
WhatsApp is developing two different kinds of multi-device – Multi-device with WhatsApp Web where you can use WhatsApp Web without your main phone to be connected to the Internet. And multi-device with other devices where you can connect up to 4 different devices to your main WhatsApp account.
