Sindh’s Minister for Health and Population Welfare, Dr. Azra Pechuho, has warned healthcare workers that they will be terminated if they refuse to get vaccinated against the coronavirus.
She had presided over a meeting on Wednesday to discuss establishing adult vaccination centers across the province and declared that the healthcare workers who are unwilling to get inoculated will be issued show-cause notices and will not be permitted to work at the risk of the further spreading of the virus.

She said,
We have started the process of COVID-19 vaccination in Sindh where all the healthcare workers are being registered for the vaccination. All those healthcare workers who do not take part in the process of vaccination and get themselves vaccinated would be terminated.
Several healthcare workers across Pakistan have been reluctant to get vaccinated especially after the decline in coronavirus cases. The Sindh Health Department had previously tried to persuade them by announcing the payment of health risk allowance for those who get vaccinated.
