Xiaomi Unveils Redmi MAX 86-Inch 4K Smart TV With HDR 10

Redmi has been selling TVs in China for quite a while, and it seems like the Xiaomi subsidiary is ready to brag about what’s next.

Alongside the iconic Redmi K40 phones, Xiaomi introduced their latest flagship Redmi MAX TV 86″ in support of the 98-inch version that was added to the brand’s global circulation last year.

Redmi MAX TV features a sleek LED-backlit panel and the weird thing is, it’s an LCD panel with 4K resolution, a refresh rate of 120Hz, and it supports 10-bit color, HDR, HDR10, HDR10+, HLG, Dolby Vision, and covers 92% of the DCI-P3 color gamut.

Redmi MAX is powered by a chipset that Xiaomi has yet to talk about. Besides that, a Mali-G52 GPU paired with 2 gigs of RAM and 32GB HDD runs the device. Other features include MIUI for TV that comes with content integration, Xiao Ai voice assistant, and many more. The two speakers below the chin are rated with a combined sound output of 25W.

The connectivity stat offers a dual-band WiFi system, Bluetooth 5.0, Infrared, USB, Ethernet, and 3 HDMI ports.

Redmi has priced the Redmi MAX TV 86” at $1,239 and it will hit Chinese markets from March 4. The brand has yet to make an announcement for international distribution.
