Motorola Has Numerous Smartwatches Planned for 2021

Motorola’s iconic Moto 360 smartwatch made a comeback last year featuring Google’s widely used Wear OS. The watch was manufactured by Motorola’s partner eBuyNow, and it seems that the two companies are extending their partnership to produce more watches this year.

This was revealed in a roadmap presentation made by Motorola recently which showed an image of a bunch of upcoming Moto devices. In the image, we can see a Moto G smartwatch set for launch in June this year, and as the name says, it may be a budget device.

The smartwatch appears to have a circular dial with two physical buttons on the side. It also has a silver-colored finish and overall, it does not look too different from a regular wristwatch.

We may also get to see the Moto Watch and Moto One a month later. However, the Moto Watch will likely adopt the Apple Watch design, whereas the Moto One will look more like the Moto G Smartwatch. The Moto One will likely be the premium offering of the two.

There is also another 3D rendered image that shows a watch that looks nothing like the rest of the watches above. It has a transparent chassis on the back which lets you peek at the charging coil and the charging port beneath it. The watch bears resemblance to the Moto 360 released last year.

Furthermore, since Motorola already has a partnership with Qualcomm, we expect to see the Snapdragon Wear 4100 platform with at least 1GB RAM on the more premium smartwatches. The budget offerings may feature the Snapdragon 3100 chip instead.

All watches will most likely boot Google’s Wear OS.
