Redmi K40 Will Be Called Poco F3 Internationally

Redmi has recently updated its most popular flagship killer series, the Redmi K40. As always, the series is only limited to China and will release globally under a different name.

According to a new report, it may go global under the Poco brand name similar to the Redmi K30 last year.

This was revealed by the US FCC certification which showed that the Redmi K40 will go global as the Poco F3. Additionally, since the Redmi K40 series includes a K40 Pro and the K40 Pro+, we also expect to see a Poco F3 Pro and maybe a Poco F3 Pro+ as well, though that would be a first for the Poco series.

There are no leaks on the Pro models as of yet.

As for the base Poco F3, we already know that it will be powered by the Snapdragon 870 SoC since it will be a rebrand of the Redmi K40. It will also have a 120Hz AMOLED display, a 48MP triple camera setup, a 4,520 mAh battery with 33W fast charging, up to 12GB/256GB memory configurations, and more.

It will also have 5G support, Android 11 with MIUI 12.5 on top with updates promised for multiple years onwards.

There is no word on the Poco F3’s release, but we will update this space as soon as there is more info.
