LDA To Digitize Its Land Records

The Lahore Development Authority (LDA) has decided to digitalize its land records to support the government’s ongoing efforts to streamline the real estate sector of Punjab.

For this, the LDA’s Director Computer Services will collaborate with the Punjab Information Technology Board (PITB) to prepare related software for the digital platform.

The decision was made during a regular meeting of the LDA’s Governing Body in Lahore. In this regard, the LDA’s Director for Record Sifting was directed to present a detailed performance report in the next meeting of the body.

The new and unified digital system will help to interlink and standardize the land records and related maps for the cataloging of public land, and will therefore create an integrated land information system for swift facilitation and transparency.

So far, the ownership records of the housing schemes in Lahore, including Gulberg, Mustafa Town, Jubilee Town, and Avenue-1 have been computerized.
