Motorcyclist Dies after Collision with Saudi Diplomat’s Vehicle in Islamabad

A motorcyclist in Islamabad was killed in a traffic accident with a vehicle of the  Embassy of Saudi Arabia on Tuesday.

The accident had taken place in the F-10, which is under the jurisdiction of the Shalimar Police Station. The body of the deceased identified as Muhammad Irfan, who was a furniture crafter by profession, was shifted to the Pakistan Institute of Medical Sciences (PIMS) Hospital.

SP Hamza Humayun revealed that the police have arrested the 23-year-old son of a private contractor at the Saudi Arabian Embassy who is believed to have been driving the vehicle.

According to the details, the arrested Saudi national is not a diplomat himself and he does not have an international driving permit but possesses Saudi Arabian and American driving permits.

It is being claimed that the vehicle, which has now been impounded, belongs to the Saudi diplomat, Faisal bin Turad.
