Employees Beat Up FIA Officer At Lahore Toll Plaza For Not Paying Taxes

A mob of motorway employees reportedly beat up an officer of the Federal Investigation Agency (FIA) after he refused to pay the toll tax for his vehicle before exiting the Lahore-Islamabad Motorway.

According to the details, the Assistant Sub-Inspector of the FIA, Waseem Obaid, got into a verbal argument with the employees of the toll plaza before the situation escalated into a physical altercation.

After the argument, the toll plaza employees reportedly beat up the FIA officer on the road. Obaid has accused the employees of maltreatment and for smashing his car’s windows and front and rear windscreens.

Last week, a similar incident occurred in Islamabad when the police arrested the DC FBR for assaulting a traffic warden. The DC FBR was reportedly being issued a ticket for violating traffic rules and struck the traffic warden in retaliation.
