A 13-year old girl in Gujranwala burned to death after the headphones she was using caught fire, and her house caught fire due to gas leakage, according to the preliminary investigation by the police.

The deceased girl’s family recorded a statement with the police saying that her headphones had been connected to her mobile phone while it was charging when it exploded.

They revealed that there had been gas leakage in the house in addition to the short circuit, which might have led to the unfortunate incident.

The rescue officials also confirmed that the 13-year-old girl, Mushfiqa, was using headphones while her mobile phone was charging, which caught fire and resulted in her death.

Note that there have been similar incidents resulting in deaths and injuries to people using smartphones while charging.
