Xiaomi is set to host its 2021 New Product Launch Event later today. Along with the much-awaited Mi Mix handset, Xiaomi will also unveil its Mi 11 Pro and Mi 11 Ultra handsets. As the name suggests, the Mi 11 Ultra will be the maxed-out variant that will come with a lot of new features.

The company has been posting a lot of teasers regarding the device. It has already disclosed that the Mi 11 Ultra will feature an all-new silicon-oxygen anode battery tech and the Bionic camera technology that mimics the human eye.

Mi 11 Ultra IP68 rating

In a recent post, the company has further revealed that the Mi 11 Ultra will be the first handset by the company to come with an IP68 rating which means it will be water-resistant up to 1.5 meters and for a duration of 30 minutes. In addition to this, the device will also be equipped with a gas (Helium) release valve which is usually found in professional diving watches. This valve releases the built-up pressure caused by helium gas molecules.

Xiaomi has really outdone itself with the number of ‘firsts’ this device will bring. If that is not enough for you, it will also be the first device in the world to feature full phase change cooling technology. The system comes with an organic hydrocarbon material that changes states between solid, liquid, gas.

So, whenever the core of the chipset heats up the element will change from solid to liquid for absorbing the heat inside. In the second phase, the heat will make the liquid evaporate absorbing more energy.

The handset is shaping into a pretty interesting device. More details will be revealed later today.
