Yesterday, Xiaomi hosted a launch event where it unveiled the new Mi 11 handsets as well as the Mi Band 6 and a Wi-Fi 6 router. We were expecting the company to shed light on the much-awaited Mi Mix foldable phone, however, they had other plans. Reports suggest that the smartphone will be launched later today at another event.
Earlier today, a leaked shot of a promo posted for the Mi MIX Fold surfaced on Weibo revealing its key specifications and design. As expected, the foldable has a Galaxy Fold-like design. The text at the bottom of the poster reveals that it is equipped with an 8.01-inch foldable screen that produces 2K resolution and 1.1 billion colors. It will be powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 888 SoC.
As far as the camera is concerned, it appears to be similar to the camera housing of the Xiaomi Mi 10S, which was announced recently in China. According to the text, the phone is equipped with a 108-megapixel primary camera with a liquid lens similar to the Mi 11 Ultra. The device promises 3D sound output as it is fitted with Harman Kardon-powered quad speakers.
In other news, Xiaomi is also expected to announce a self-developed Surge chipset today along with a new Mi Notebook Pro, Mi Washing Machine with a front-loading feature, a new Mi Robot vacuum cleaner, and more.
