Last week, Apple’s virtual assistant Siri disclosed that the company was prepping to hold a launch event for the new iPad Pro and the much-awaited AirTags. According to a recent report, we might be in for a surprise since the company is most likely planning to announce more than one iPad model at the event.
Wedbush analyst Daniel Ives claims that Apple could announce a new and affordable iPad, along with the iPad mini and the iPad Pro during the event. Since the company has already launched the affordable iPad 8 last year, this news only makes sense.
The affordable iPad 8 came with the powerful A12 Bionic chipset, Neural Engine for Machine Learning, Apple Pencil Support, 10-Hour Battery, and much more.
In addition to this, the company will launch the 12.9-inch iPad Pro model which is expected to arrive with the biggest update, i.e., a mini-LED screen. The 11-inch iPad model, on the other hand, will be nothing more than an iterative update. This means, there will be no massive changes but internally, it will be powered by the A14X Bionic SoC coupled with a 5G modem.
Ives believes that this is the right time for Apple to refresh its tablet line because a significant number of customers have held off on their purchase.
